Earn Your Geology Merit Badge

Learn about the geology of the mammoth Site and the southern Black Hills and earn your Geology Merit Badge while you do it. This approximately 2-hour-long activity includes classroom introduction, hands-on rock analysis, and examination of rocks outdoors. We recommend a bonebed tour before this activity to orient the group to the Mammoth Site. The cost is $7.00 per person (not including Bonebed Tour); adult chaperones are expected to supervise students. Click here for Merit Badge Criteria.
