Museum Hours
Open year round with 30 minute guided tours. Wheelchair accessible. Group rates offered.
May 15 - August 15 ~~8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., with last tour at 7:00 p.m. August 16 - August 31 ~~8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., with last tour at 5:00 p.m. September 1 - October 31 ~~9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with last tour at 4:00 p.m. November 1- February 28 ~~(Monday-Sat.) 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with last tour at 2:30 p.m.
(Sunday) 11:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with last tour at 2:30 p.m.March 1- May 14 ~~9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., with last tour at 4:00 p.m.
Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday.
After the 30 minute guided tour, you are invited to stroll the sidewalks of the dig area at your own pace. Then, explore the many exhibits in the Ice Age Exhibit Hall and peek in the windows of a working paleontology laboratory. Plus...view numerous short educational films on geology, Mammoth Site history, Hunting Mammoths with Dr. Larry Agenbroad, early North America and the people and animals that lived here during the Ice Ages, and museum laboratory procedures.
Although you can pop in for a quick tour, we recommend you allow an hour or two for your visit.
